With the growing popularity of remote medical examinations, drivers faced long queues and medical staff were critically overwhelmed. The problem was particularly acute in the morning hours, when thousands of drivers simultaneously applied for the admission to the trip.

A new patient flow distribution system for remote pre-trip examinations has reduced examination time to 10 seconds and solved the problem of staff shortages during peak hours. The system is based on artificial intelligence (AI), a physician decision support system (PDSS), and a “one-button” approach.

How the system works

1. Data collection and transfer

Collected patient data (blood pressure indicators, pulse, temperature, alcohol test results, and other parameters obtained from self-service terminals or via a mobile app) is sent to the healthcare worker’s personal account.

2. Identification and control

The medical worker identifies the driver by photo or document and conducts a final check of the received data.

3. Intelligent support

Artificial intelligence and a physician decision support system (PDSS) automatically analyze the data. If any deviations from the norm are detected, the system highlights them with a color indicator, attracting the physician’s attention.

4. Decision making

Admission or non-admission of the driver to work is carried out with a single button. The entire process takes just seconds.

5. Legal significance

Every action taken by medical personnel is automatically certified with an enhanced qualified electronic signature (EQES). The system fully complies with the requirements of the Russian Ministry of Health.

To ensure 24/7 operation, the system takes time zones into account and anticipates peak workloads, scheduling doctors from less busy regions. It also analyzes the workload of each medical professional daily at different times of the day.
